1978년 퀸의 7번째 스튜디오 앨범. 이 색다른 느낌의 재킷은 브라이언 메이가 본 작의 레코딩 전에 동 베를린을 방문하였고, 베를린 장벽에 "JAZZ"라는 단어와 함께 몇겹의 동심원의 그림에서 힌트를 얻어 나온 결과물이라고 한다. 타이틀은 재즈이지만 수록곡들은 대부분 하드록과 당시 디스코 열기에 맞춰 디스코의 영향이 느껴지기도 한다. <Bicycle Race>,<Don't Stop Me Now>등의 히트곡을 수록하고 있다. 빌보드 앨범 차트 6위, UK 앨범 차트 2위. <Bicycle Race>는 빌보드 싱글 차트 24위, <Don't Stop Me Now>는 86위.
