캐나다 토론토 출신의 맷 더스크는 마이클 부블레나 제이미 컬럼 처럼 

스탠다드 팝 스타일의 보컬리스트이다.
데카(Decca)레이블에서 오랜 기간 보컬리스트로서의 필요한 여러가지 훈련을 거친 ...

그야말로 만들어진 예비 스타라고 할 수 있겠다.

예전의 프랭크 시나트라나 멜 토메가 그랬던 것처럼 중 저음역에서 그 매력을

제대로 발산 시킬 줄 아는 친구이다.

데뷔작의 수 많은 세션진을 보면 알겠지만 레이블에서의 적극적인 후원이 없었다면

갓 신인에게 이러한 물량 공세의 앨범 발매가 과연 가능이나 했을까

운이 좋은 넘이라 봐야 되겠다~

 

 

 

 

본 작은 2007년에 발매 된 맷 더스트의 두번째 작품이다.

화려한 세션진을 대동한 그의 데뷔작이나 본 두번째 작품에서의 편곡은

역시 웅장하면서도 장엄하다.

빅밴드와 오케스트라에서 뿜어져 나오는 그 화려함과 맷 더스크의 감미로우면서도 호소력있는

보이스가 매치가 너무 잘 되는 듯 하다.

재즈든 아니든 일단 그 기준점만 내려놓고 감상한다면

수록곡 하나 하나가 아주 인상깊게 다가오지 않을까 생각이 된다.
